  1. The Sedona Labyrinth & Stupa. There are two contemporary sacred sites in West Sedona: a 7-rings Labyrinth and a Tibetan Buddhist Stupa. Walking the Labyrinth in meditation is a mini-pilgrimage to Spirit-Source. Circumambulating the Stupa is an active way to offer prayers and to understand its sacred architecture. In his studio, Aya can offer you a presentation to prepare you for these two visits. After studying labyrinths in his native France, Aya became a Labyrinth consultant: he has designed and co-created several labyrinths in the Sedona area: 7, 9 and 11-rings.

  2. The Chartres-type Labyrinth.  For this large labyrinth, you will drive out of Sedona to a beautiful retreat center, on Oak Creek, to experience both a 7-rings and an 11-rings labyrinth. The 11-rings is the exact replica of the famous medieval labyrinth in Chartres Cathedral, France. Walking a labyrinth is a spiritual vision quest as well as a healing practice of self-integration and centeredness.

  1. Sedona 7 Canyons VorticesGoing North on Dry Creek road, you progressively enter the traditionally sacred Seven Canyons of Sedona, at the foot of the Colorado Plateau. While enjoying the sightseeing (get your camera ready!), you can admire the extraordinary geology, the native plants and the wonderful vistas. There are two special vortex locations: Kachina Woman, famous in the American Indian creation stories, and a 15-minutes hike to a stunning ceremonial site.

  1. Palatki & Honanki Ruins of the Ancient Ones. These two heritage sites need reservation. Call 928-282-3854. 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. Gravel road for 7 miles but direct experience of the ancient way of life of the Cliff Dwellers.

  1. Montezuma Castle & Montezuma Well National Monuments. South of Sedona, off I-17. Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This combined visit brings many insights to better understand the way of life of the Ancient Ones. The Well is an amazing gift of nature popping out of the semi-desert environment and the Castle is a flash-back in history and past lives.

  1. Cathedral Rock Hike. At the end of Back O’ Beyond, off 179, starts the trail to Cathedral Rock, the majestic and most famous Sedona vortex. The Forest Service trail leads to the top edge of Cathedral Rock, where, amidst towering red rocks, you can enjoy the serene power of this magnetic vortex spot and gaze at far-horizon vistas. Timing the hike with the sunset is an unforgettable experience.

  2. Custom Sedona Hikes. There are many options of hikes in and around Sedona: from easy family walks to day-long excursions, from lush river banks and cool water holes to high elevation panoramic vistas... Go to the Chamber of Commerce / Tourist Bureau in Sedona and they will give you precise and friendly information to fit your needs or desires and customize a unique Sedona journey for you and your family or friends.

  3. Medicine Wheel Ceremony. Aya's studio. After an introduction to Sacred Circles and the Wheel of Life, we’ll learn how to build a simple Medicine Wheel and use it in a Blessing Ceremony. Includes a sage/juniper smudging and a personal Medicine Wheel reading. Donation.
